Josh was raised on classic rock and the blues. His dad was kind enough to teach him and his brothers the ways of the world (the Beatles, the Stones, Albert King, the Doors, Muddy Waters, Johnny Cash, etc.) at a young age. He also taught them to play piano as soon as they could sit upright. It wasn't until his teenage years that Josh picked up a guitar for the first time. Soon many Chuck Berry songs were learned
and dissected.

After a few years of writing down lyrics and chords it was time for something to happen. The Josh Cox Experiment was born in a Madison bedroom as the result of wanting to make rock and roll music for the world to hear, but not having musically inclined friends to make it with. So a multi-track recorder was purchased, many instruments were amassed, and the music was born.

It's Rock and Roll. It's simple. It's a way of life. It's in your soul, from the day you're born till the day you die. Hail! Hail! Rock and Roll!
